Projex Partners was engaged by Sunshine Coast Council to undertake the Project Management for Browns Road floodway and culvert restoration under the Natural Disaster Relief and Recovery Arrangements (NDRRA).


NDRRA site inspections, scoping, reporting and preparation of NDRRA submissions for Sunshine Coast Regional Council of sites in Peachester, Beerwah, Glenview, Pelican Waters, Landsborough, Beerburrm, Glass House Mountains, Yandina, Nambour, Palmwoods, Eumundi, Belli Park, Coolabine, Kiamba, Meridan Plains, Tanawah, Woombye, Mooloolah Valley, Gheerulla, Eerwah Vale, Dulong, Federal, Pomona, Cooroy, Lake MacDonald, Bald Knob, Maroochy River, Doonan, Reesville, Buderim, Mount Mellum, Balmoral Ridge, Cootharaba, Hunchy, Bli Bli, Coolum, Obi Obi, Weyba Downs, Sunshine Beach, Conondale and Little Mountain.

Proserpine Waterpark

Detailed design and documentation of the Proserpine Waterpark and adjoining carpark for Whitsunday Regional Council. Works included civil design, landscape design and pool hydraulics.

Surf Road and Okinja Road Urban Drainage Upgrade

Preliminary engineering design and documentation for the upgrade of an existing concrete trapezoidal channel located between Surf Road and Okinja Road, Alexandra Headland.  The channel upgrade is required to tie in to recently completed culvert and channel upgrades at the downstream and upstream extents of works respectively.  The purpose is to provide a visually uniform channel between Surf Road and Okinja Road.

Nicklin Way Drainage Investigation

The commission was to carry out drainage analysis and hydraulic modelling broken down into networks of the existing piped drainage system surrounding Nicklin Way from Tokara Canal to the Mooloolah River.

The need for the analysis resulted from customer complaints in regards to flooding adjacent to and along Nicklin Way during the March 2012 rain events.

The work was carried out progressively in 4 phases to best meet Council’s needs as follows:

Phase 1 – Data Compilation and Preliminary Catchment Plan
Phase 2 – Ground Truthing – Plan Finalisation of Existing Network
Phase 3 – Commencement of Existing Network Analysis
Phase 4 – Potential network improvements.

Lot 890 Regatta Boulevard, Wurtulla

Lot 890 Regatta Boulevard, Wurtulla is a proposed medium density development of 89 townhouses, on-site parking and green space.

Projex Partners was engaged to prepare an Integrated Water Management Plan (IWMP) to support a Material Change of Use application for the proposed development at Lot 890 on SP148396 located at Regatta Boulevard in Wurtulla.

The intention of the Integrated Water Management Plan is to integrate elements of the water cycle, including drinking water, stormwater, wastewater and groundwater, to reduce impacts on the environment, infrastructure and the community.

Projex Partners was also engaged to complete a Traffic Impact Assessment (TIA) and analysis using SIDRA and Stormwater Management Plan to assess performance of the existing Nicklin Way/ Regatta Blvd and Nicklin Way/ Moondarra Street intersections including queue spill back consideration.

195 Parklands Boulevard, Little Mountain

195 Parklands Boulevard, Little Mountain is a proposed medium density development consisting of 174 dwellings and community care space.

Projex Partners was engaged to prepare an Integrated Water Management Plan (IWMP) to support a Material Change of Use application for the proposed development on Lot 1 RP196200 located at 195 Parklands Boulevard in Little Mountain.

The intention of the Integrated Water Management Plan is to integrate elements of the water cycle, including drinking water, stormwater, wastewater and groundwater, to reduce impacts on the environment, infrastructure and the community.

Projex Partners was also engaged to complete a Traffic Impact Assessment (TIA) to assess the potential effects of the proposed development on the adjacent intersections of Parklands Boulevard/Meridan Way and Parklands Boulevard/Ivadale Boulevard.

Sorensen Road Residential Development (139 Lots)

13 Sorensen Road was a 15.87 hectare site located in Southside, Gympie. The project involved the subdivision of the original lot into 139 residential lots over 7 stages with an average lot size of approximately 700m2.

Projex Partners has undertaken preliminary design for all 7 stages and detailed design for stages 2-4. We also prepared and lodged the operational works application and have received operational works approval for stages 2-4. Stage 2 is currently under construction and due for completion in August 2016. Projex Partners has also been undertaking construction supervision of the civil works.

The associated engineering works included the design of internal roads, a roundabout, underground drainage infrastructure, sewer services, bulk earthworks, watermain and relocation of services. An intersection with Sorensen Road and the site entry road was also required. Future stages will include another roundabout and bus stop.
